Controlling the lights and resetting the web camera at Katherine

New way: Lights

mk5 light for reading module labels is no longer connected to exterior light switch on ipske. It now switches on pdu1ke.phys.utas.edu.au and is labelled light int. The user is admin and the password is the same one we use for the internet power switches. Choose the socket and press the button “ON” below. In the pop-up window, choose “OK”. After reading the label, press “OFF” button and “OK” again.

Old way: Lights

There are two lights that can be controlled remotely at Katherine: an external one to illuminate the antenna and an internal one to light up the racks. The external light is connected to the internet power switch ipske The interior light which illuminates the modules is connected to pdu1ke.phys.utas.edu.au. Please turn them off when they are not in use so we don't attract the insects.

There are scripts to control the exterior lights. Open a terminal on pcfske and type

LightOn.sh

or

LightOff.sh

Camera

A similar script exists to reset the web camera:

ResetCamera.sh
