Dear colleagues

You may have heard that I was elected to be the AOV Chair a couple of weeks ago. It is my duty to inform you that Guifre Molera Calves from the UTAS is appointed as the AOV Secretary.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wakasugi-san and Lucia who did a great job in the past years. We all have seen the growth and success of the AOV.

The AOV is a subgroup of the IVS focused on geodesy and astrometry. Since the IVS is in transition to VGOS operation, there will be more challenges in the new decade for product delivery and scientific outcome. I look forward to working closely with all of you to keep the AOV on track.
